New Employee Orientation
Welcome to Highline Public Schools! Before you begin your new job, your employment and compensation specialist will schedule your New Employee Orientation session. During New Employee Orientation, you will learn about our promise and strategic plan, policies and procedures that guide your work, and professional growth in Highline. You will also access resources that help you get off to a great start.
New Employee Orientation is always scheduled on a Wednesday. Check-in begins at 8:15 am and NEO concludes at 12:30 pm. Directly following New Employee Orientation, all new employees will also have an opportunity to meet with employee services specialists to ask questions about benefits, retirement, compensation, etc. Please note that if an orientation session is not available during the week when you start your job, then you will be scheduled to attend New Employee Orientation as soon as possible thereafter.
Please Note: When you come for your onsite orientation, you must have your original social security card and the form of ID being used to complete the I-9 as these are REQUIRED by payroll. If you do not have your proper identification you will not be allowed to participate and will be asked to reschedule your Orientation date.

Required Trainings
Additionally, you will be receiving a link from Vector with required training videos and important policies and information to review. These trainings must be completed within 60 days of your hire date or you can be removed from your position. If you do not receive the e-mail from vector within 5 days of your hire date please reach out to HR at 206-631-3000.
