Welcome to the 2023-24 session of the community-led Capital Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC). CFAC members from across the district will work together to prioritize future construction needs for Highline Public Schools.
COMMITTEE CHARGE: Continue work on Community Recommendations for Future Facilities, including review of living priority list of facilities built prior to 2000.

The community-led Capital Facilities Advisory Committee presented its 2026 bond recommendation to the Highline school board on June 3. The recommended bond package focuses on aging schools, safety needs, building systems and long-term facilities planning.
Highline’s Capital Projects Oversight Committee received updates on 2022 bond projects during its May meeting, with all major projects remaining on schedule and within budget.
The Capital Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC) approved a small adjustment to its March 30 bond package recommendation after additional review and program feedback. This update incorporates two project changes that reduce the recommended bond amount from $615.4 to $595.4 million.
The community-led Capital Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC) arrived at a bond package recommendation with a majority consensus by the end of their March 30 meeting.
Highline’s community-led bond planning committee is close to a bond package recommendation and anticipates finalizing the recommendation at a meeting on March 30. The committee will present their recommendation to the school board later this spring.
