2024-26 CFAC

Welcome to the 2024-26 session of the community-led Capital Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC). CFAC members from across the district will work together to prioritize future construction needs for Highline Public Schools. 

COMMITTEE CHARGE:  Develop Community Recommendations for Future Facilities when timely, including prioritizing and reviewing school facilities built prior to 2000.

Oversight Committee Tracks Bond Dollars

Highline not only has a bond planning committee, but also a Capital Projects Oversight Committee to track bond spending and project progress. This group of local industry experts meet quarterly to review bond project financial reports and ask questions.

CFAC Builds Potential Bond Packages

In January, Highline’s community-led Capital Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC) received more information. Members worked in small groups to test which projects and capital needs fit within potential bond dollar amounts. They developed five potential bond packages, ranging from $450 to $650 million. Next, committee members will refine their bond package ideas, and work toward consensus. They will seek feedback in February.
