Committee Charge

2023-24, 2024-26

  • Continue work on Community Recommendations for Future Facilities, including prioritizing and reviewing school facilities built prior to 2000.
  • Two CFAC representatives serve on the Capital Projects Oversight Committee by election when a vacancy arises. The Oversight Committee tracks progress on bond project design, planning and construction.

2019-21, 2021-22 & 2022-23

  • Complete Community Recommendations for Future Facilities, including prioritizing facilities built prior to 2000.
  • Continue elections of CFAC representatives as needed to serve on the Oversight Committee to track progress on bond design, planning and construction.

Note: The 2019-2020 work session was paused for one year due to the COVID pandemic response. 

2018-19

  • Complete Phases 2, 3 and 4 of a long-range facilities plan and present a recommended plan to the school board. (Members completed recommendations for a Phase 2 bond.)
  • Elect CFAC representatives to serve on the Oversight Committee to track progress on Phase 1 design, planning and construction.

2017-18

  • Review proposed boundary changes necessary due to new school construction. (Members submitted recommended boundary changes to the school board in Spring 2018, which were adopted and then implemented in time for the start of school and new school openings in Fall 2019.)
  • Elect CFAC representatives to serve on the Oversight Committee to track progress on Phase 1 design, planning and construction.

2015-16

  • Draft long-range facilities plan.
  • Recommend Phase 1 bond to school board. (School bond was proposed to voters by the school board, and voters approved the bond in November 2016.)
