Evergreen Bricks, Windows Connect to Natural Surroundings
Brick siding and window panes now sparkle on much of the new Evergreen High School.
The dark brick echoes the color of evergreen tree bark, while sections of glazed green brick reflect the tree needles and leaves of the surrounding forest.
Paving and other work is wrapping up on the new student parking lot this month.
Other site work in August included:
- Sidewalk repairs and electrical work on 116th Street
- Crews using a roof panel roller to form metal panels for the south Activities building
- Cabinets, drawers, and bookcases being installed in the first level of the north Classroom building
- Exterior brickwork on the north building continues
- Constructing forms and pouring concrete to create the large outdoor learning stairs in the central courtyard
Construction continues at a steady pace, with additional work hours to make up for time lost due to the water vandalism we reported in June. We are still working to determine the extent of the damage and will keep you informed.
