Update: Due to snow closures, the deadline for the grandfathering opt-in form has moved from February 15 to February 21.
High school students now in 9th- and 10th-grade who are affected by boundary changes may opt to stay at their current high school through graduation.
- If you want to stay in your current high school through graduation, complete the form online.
- Students entering 10th and 11th grade in September 2019 will be assigned to their new neighborhood schools under the revised boundaries unless they complete the grandfathering process.
- Opt-in forms are due February 21.
Current 11th-grade students are automatically grandfathered into their current high school for senior year.
School bus transportation will be provided to all grandfathered students for 2019-20. Transportation in the following two years may be provided through public transportation at no cost to students.
Incoming 9th-grade students living in areas where boundaries have changed will not have the grandfathering option. Students entering 9th grade in September 2019 will be assigned to their neighborhood high school under the new boundaries.
The grandfathering option includes HHS students identified as highly capable.
