What is the value & impact of a new, modern school building?
Music is a passion for Vichet Ros--it is carrying him on to the next step on his life journey. Before heading off to major in music at UW, he stopped to reflect about his favorite part of the new Highline High School.
“My favorite places at the new high school are the music practice rooms. We didn’t have that in the old school. Here you can practice in peace without disturbances.”
Maybe some days Vichet missed the oddities of life in the old Highline High School… like the smelly basement level not everyone knew about!
“But I enjoy the new building that avoids the problems of the old one. It’s a good idea to rebuild our older schools.”
—Vichet Ros, Highline High School class of 2022
Vichet played alto saxophone in band, piano, and violin in orchestra. He also arranged music and did some conducting at HHS, when he wasn’t busy also being a Running Start student at Highline College.
