Citizens' Committees Begin Boundary Review & Bond Oversight

The Capital Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC) meets September 13 to focus on boundary changes to prepare for the new elementary and the new middle school opening in 2019. All are welcome to come and listen from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the central office boardroom (15675 Ambaum Blvd SW, Burien). Audio recordings and presentation slides are posted after the meetings.

CFAC co-chairs Rose Clark and Aaron Garcia are adding an August 29 orientation from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. to provide new members with information on the work the committee did in 2015-16. That work included developing the 2016 bond package and the first phase of a long-term building plan. All CFAC members, alternates and other community members are welcome to attend this orientation session in the central office board room.

The bond Oversight Committee, an additional citizens' committee responsible for tracking bond progress and spending each month, meets August 23. Agendas will be posted.
