Project Update | Olympic Interim School
A wide variety of work is ongoing at the Olympic site to get ready for HHS students. Heating ducts were discovered to be in poor condition and this issue is being reviewed.
Current Activities
Construction Phase
Building A
- Seismic upgrades are finishing up.
- Site work for portable classroom pads has begun.
- Roof replacement work on Building A is 75% complete.
Building B
- Abatement of hazardous materials and selective demolition is mostly complete in Building B.
- Structural and seismic upgrades and improvement work is 50% complete.
Building C
- Abatement work and selective demolition has begun in Building C.
- Seismic upgrades have begun.
Project Planning
- The district project management team is meeting weekly with the general contractor to discuss schedule and cost control.
Project Issues
- The mechanical sub-floor heating ducts have been discovered to be in poor condition. The project team is reviewing alternatives for heat delivery.
