A group of Highline community members shared their proposed districtwide boundary plan at a community meeting on March 14. The draft maps, background information and online feedback tool are now online.
Boundary changes are necessary because the district is opening a fifth middle school and a new, larger elementary school in fall 2019.
The Capital Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC) members volunteered many hours over several months to craft a boundary map based on data and guiding principles, with the interests of the whole district in mind.
Families, staff and community members learned about the proposed boundary plan and gave feedback at the kick-off community meeting on Wednesday, March 14. Additional meetings are planned, including:
