Approved Director District Boundary Changes 2022

Boundary changes do not affect schools.

After the U.S. Census is completed every 10 years, school districts must review the boundaries of their board of director districts to ensure equitable geographic representation. The area served by Highline Public Schools is divided into five geographic districts, each with one board seat.

Candidates for school board must run for the seat of the director district they live in. Each position is elected by all voters in the district. All directors represent the entire school district in their board actions.

Director district boundaries are not related to school attendance boundaries. This process will not change any neighborhood school boundaries. The district contracted with FLO Analytics to support the redistricting process.

Final Boundaries Map

Based on the feedback gathered, the map below was introduced to the School Board at the June 1 School Board meeting and community members were invited to share public testimony and submit written feedback via an online form.

The Board voted to approve the map at the School Board meeting on June 22.
