    New Middle School | January 11, 2018
    The new middle school project is ready to go to bid! The bid documents seeking a general contractor will be available January 17, 2018. Get information about the pre-bid meeting and deadline.

  • Time to Talk Boundaries

    Changes are coming in 2019. The time to talk about it and plan for it is now. With two new schools opening in fall 2019, and sixth grade moving to middle school, the district needs to redraw some of the school boundaries. Watch for a community meeting in March.

  • HHS North Wall Design Draws on History

    Highline High School project staff, architects, contractors and district leaders have reached a consensus on the north wall design. See the updated design concept and reasons for the selection.

  • 60% Done With HHS Schematic Design

    Highline High School | November 30, 2017
    The schematic design is 60% completed. The north wall design has been determined. We are coordinating with the City of Burien on related city improvements. Planning and design review continue.

    Olympic Interim School | November 30, 2017
    Abatement and selective demolition work continue. A variety of upgrades are in progress. Weather reports are closely monitored to allow roofing work to progress.

    Permit approvals are expected in December. Construction documents should be complete and ready to be issued for bid in early January 2018. Sediment pond added.

Thank You, Voters!

  • We are grateful to Highline voters for passing the first bond in ten years. This bond will give students room to learn in our growing district. We will have the classroom space we need to lower elementary class sizes, and students will be safer in every school in the district. We are committed to responsible bond spending. We will continue our track record completing every project on time and on budget.
