Mission

Principal

  • North Hill is a K-6 elementary school located in Des Moines, Washington. Our school programs include four full-day kindergartens, two Integrated Learning Centers (ILC), and 21 regular education classrooms, 1st-6th grade.

    We are pleased to welcome Kimberly Gilmore as the new principal of North Hill Elementary School.  Ms. Gilmore is a graduate of Central Washington University and earned her master’s degree in education administration at Western Washington University. Ms. Gilmore has over nine years of experience as a school administrator and comes to Highline from the Everett School District where she is currently the principal at Madison Elementary School. 

    She began her teaching career in Highline before moving to Edmonds, where she taught sixth grade.
     
    Also joining our North Hill team this year, as Assistant Principal, is May Ovalles.  Ms. Ovalles has most recently been a part of the Secondary Success team for Highline School District.

"Eleven Paths" follows 11 Highline students from freshman through senior year of high school. You can view this compelling film and a Q & A panel with the students featured in it online.
