COVID-19 Trends

Updated: February 18, 2021

We continue to monitor COVID activity data published by Public Health - Seattle & King County (PHSKC).

The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) decision-making tool indicates when COVID activity rates are at an appropriate level to transition to in-person learning and activities. When community rates are greater than 350 per 100,000 residents, DOH recommends in-person learning for our youngest learners (Pre-K through grade 5) and students with the highest needs with safety protocols in place. These conditions include small groups of 15 or fewer students and social distancing.

King County

146 (trending down)

9 (trendin up)

*This reflects the highest COVID activity rate of the four Health Reporting Areas (HRA) in Highline. We take the highest count because students and staff who live in one HRA may work in or attend a school in another HRA.

** When trends in cases and hospitalizations are flat or decreasing, and the school can demonstrate the ability to limit transmission in the school environment, expand access to in-person learning
