Close Contacts & Quarantine
If you have been identified as a close contact, stay home and get tested.
Close contacts may return to school after a 7-day quarantine by providing proof of a negative test result.
If the test is negative and you have no symptoms, you can return to school after seven days of quarantine.
If the test is positive, or if you do not take a COVID test, you must quarantine for 10 days. You can return on day 11 if you have no symptoms.
Tests must be done at a school district or community-based test site. At-home tests and attestations are no longer accepted. You must provide proof of a negative test result: the original, a copy, or a photo of a document from the test provider or lab.
A classroom may transition to distance learning for 10 days from the last date an individual with a positive test was in class when:
Three or more students or staff in same room/area test positive for COVID-19
The cases have symptoms that start within 14 days of each other
A student or staff member has been in close contact (within 6 feet for 15 minutes or more) with a person who has confirmed positive test result
The cases are not associated with one another in another setting (household, club, etc.)
