How to Apply to Preschool!
If you are interested in enrolling your child in a Highline Public Schools program, please complete our Preschool Interest Form. The Early Learning Department will review your information and notify you of available program options and next steps. Household size, family income, Individualized Education Program status, and other factors may determine your child’s placement.
Highline School District Preschool Program Information
Highline Public Schools offers a variety of high quality, early learning opportunities for children who reside in the Highline community. To be eligible to enroll for the next school year, children must turn 3 or 4 by August 31. Please expand the programs below to learn more about our program offerings.

ECEAP (Early Childhood Education Assistance Program)
ECEAP is the Early Childhood Education Assistance Program that is free for eligible families.
Community Peer Program
Community PEER program is part of the Developmental Preschool program for typically developing children from the community.
Developmental Preschool
Developmental Preschool is for children who qualify for special education services.
Midway Preschool
Midway Preschool is for children that reside in the Midway Elementary service area.
ReadyK!
ReadyK is for children eligible to begin kindergarten in the fall who have had little or no access to an early learning experience.
Early Learning Community Partners
Highline's PreK & Elementary Success team hosts professional learning events for the early learning network (Early Learning PLN). Anyone in the Highline service area who provides an early learning experience for children in settings such as preschool (district and community), childcare centers, in-home care, or Play & Learn are welcome to join us. Did You Know?
Currently enrolled Highline preschool students will be automatically enrolled in kindergarten when eligible. No registration is required!
You will hear about your student’s school assignment in the spring. Placement typically occurs at the neighborhood school based on your address.
Child Find
If you have concerns about your preschooler's development, we offer monthly screenings. Parents are encouraged to take advantage of this free service.
