News and information about Highline schools are now as close as your smartphone. Highline is the first school district in the Puget Sound region to launch its own mobile app.
The app gives students, staff, families, and the community a new and more convenient way to stay informed about what's happening in our schools.
Highline's mobile app is available free for Android, iPhone, and iPad.
The Highline app gives you access to news, district and school calendars, emergency notifications, staff contact information, and more. You can customize the app so you receive information specific to your student’s school. The app can be easily translated into nearly 70 different languages.
“Our new Highline App gives us another way to communicate important information to our entire community, including students, staff, and families,” said Superintendent Susan Enfield. “This is one of many important communications tools we use to strengthen our partnership with families so we can work together for the success for all students.”
"We know that not all our families have internet access at home, but most have a cell phone," said Chief Communications Officer Catherine Carbone Rogers.
Research shows a growing number of people own and rely on smartphones to access the internet. In January 2014, the Pew Research Center reported 58% of American adults have a smartphone and 42% of American adults own a tablet computer.
